Finally

Medical Students Sue Over Residency System

Also at the NY Times today.

Probably not related in any more than a tangential sense in the Bohica posting mentioning a UK proposal to limit the number of women in medical school.

If you follow the link to the article, you will read that women's tendency to place greater emphasis on family life and their making up the majority of medical school classes will "cause" a shortage of MDs in the future.

Well...

It looks like it isn't just the women who are tired of the indentured servitude inherent in the medical profession.

Past time for the system to change.

The nurses are acting up also -- With Nurses in Short Supply, Patient Load Becomes a Big Issue -- coincidentally a phenomenon mentioned in the same Bohica posting as the "doc shortage."
