May is National Masturbation Month.

Two years ago, I did not know this.

At the time, I was hanging out in the San Francisco area. While scrounging through the local alternative weekly publication, the blurb for a lecture by Dr. Carol Queen, sexologist, caught my eye. The subject -- masturbation.

Dr. Queen is a founder of Good Vibrations which is one of the main supporters/promoters of the masturbate-a-thons held yearly in May to raise money and awareness for a variety of causes. The admission for the lecture helped out in some way if I recall... but anyway...

What a hoot!

How could I not attend? I mean, how often in one's life does such an opportunity present itself? The future story telling potential alone -- witness this very Bohica posting -- made it worthwhile. Plus I might actually learn something....

...and I did.

One "something" was a new euphemism for whacking off -- Firing the Surgeon General.

Isn't it great?
