Ninja, Mathematical Genius

Mom has always said my dog can count -- mostly in the context of knowing how many plates are left for him to "clean up" after dinner.

Ninja will sit on station and gaze longingly at anyone who has yet to put their offering on the floor.

A study out of Brazil -- of all places -- has this to say:

Dogs know when they are being short-changed on treats because they have a basic mathematical ability which enables them to tell when one pile of objects is bigger than another.
