End of Pout

I just finished catching up on Supreme Court happenings.

This year's session opened about a month ago and my favorite SC following satirist, Dahlia Lithwick of Slate, is back in action.

She has five postings to date and I recommend them all:

Tell Me Why I don't Like First Mondays

What's the Frequency, Clarence?

Praise the Constitution and Pass the Ammunition

(I don't agree with her anti-gun stance in this one or in general, but then again -- I wasn't ducking sniper bullets at the time and everyone is entitled to their opinion -- even if its stupid. Still worth reading for the same reasons as always -- she's funny and explains the issues well.)

Three Strikes Golfing

Supreme Torts

Aside from that... yes, I am saddened over the losses of Tony and Ron and Henry. Bush sucks and wasn't really elected anyway, but such is life. Just as long as he doesn't get too many conservative judges rammed through, it will all be ok.

One can't be disappointed forever. After all the sun is out today after what feels like weeks of rain. Plus I watched Some Like It Hot last night courtesy of Netflix. A great movie can lighten any mood, but seeing how chubby Monroe was puts the cherry on top. Before, I'd only seen stills or short clips -- not nearly enough to appreciate her "thickness." Don't get me wrong -- she was undeniably attractive, but the girl had an ass on her!
